The trial of all trials...hope and despair.

Journal Entry: Thu Jan 19, 2012, 8:30 PM

As long as Tom Sneddon has a hole in his ass, Michael is INNOCENT! (saw that on a protest card at MJ's trial by a fan; thought it was pretty funny :D)  Geez, i don't think i need to stress that anymore.  Haters I can deal with; they're just a little headache.  The media and the money-grabbing schmoes are the ones I can't stand.  They make me sick.

I have recently read into what happened during Michael's trial, since I want the full story.  I learned so many shocking things I never knew.  Like that the prosecution wanted to have a slide show shown of Michael's genitalia and a drawing of his naked body back from the 1993 allegations!  Luckily, the judge saved the day and didn't allow it, saying it would be an "unfair surprise" for the jury.  I'll say!  I don't know what would've been more humiliating for Michael at that point:  when he'd been photographed nude in 1993 via good ole D.S. himself, or have his genitals shown for the whole court room to see.  I can only imagine the embarrassment and humiliation Michael was spared due to the judges likeness for sanity.

Here's another thing I didn't know.  Tom "Hurricane" Mesereau (aka Mez, the man who pretty much saved Michael's life from jail and was his guardian angel) wanted to take the entire jury to Neverland and show them the grounds, see the animals and the rides and the art and such.  I thought it would've been great...or maybe hurt the defense in the end.  Again, the judge denied the request and instead allowed sort of a video tour of Neverland.

A strange one here.  As a prank sort of, a local radio station came to the trial dressed as...pandas...yes.  I said pandas.  They seemed to have different opinions.  Some had signs that said "We love you MJ!"  Others had one like "Michael Jackson petted me and I LIKED IT!"  :ohmygod:  Really?  Was that whole thing REALLY necessary?  Albeit plain out STRANGE is more like it!

You know that MANY fans came to show support for Michael?  Well, one fan spray-painted an angel on the sidewalk outside the court house and let's just say the authorities weren't too happy.  But I hope it put a smile on Michael's face for once.

One more shocking thing.  Prince and Paris were, at some point, on the witness list to testify!  Um...I'm pretty sure they were like 8 or 9 at the time.  WAY too young, and WAY too much pressure, especially when all their daddy can do is sit back and pray for a speedy end.  It was the same way with the Conrad Murray trial!  Luckily they didn't testify in THAT either.

I seriously wish I could watch most of the trial.  The REAL version.  Fortunately, the trial was acted out some time later, but UNFORTUNATELY I cannot find the entire thing.

Was it a miracle that Michael didn't testify?  I'm so confused because I see SO many pictures of him on the stand yet he did NOT testify!  If he had testified, would it have hurt him?  I don't know.  We never will but thank God for the jury who looked past all those lies and that trash.

I was fairly young when this trial came about and I am thankful I had no idea what was going on because the whole thing is just traumatic.  As soon as I'd heard that he came to court in PJs because he'd been hurt, I knew then that this poor man was innocent of whatever he did (hey, I was 7 when it happened).

I praise Tom Mesereau and Susan Yu and ALL of the people involved in bringing justice to Michael.  GOD BLESS AND KEEP THE FAITH!!! :iconkingofpopplz:

Sorry for the page stretching in advance. I'm one of those people who likes to know the whole, true story too. I even read the official documents on the trials and the autopsy. Anywho, back to the subject, I was about 13 or 14 when the trial happened and I was dealing with my own abuse problems at time,(I was the victim,my dad was the abuser) so I didn't really follow the trial that much. From what I did see,I knew Michael was NOT a pedophile and he could NEVER do those horrible things. Peolpe just needed to leave him alone. The day he came to court, according to Jermaine,He had fallen getting out of the shower that day and had severe back pain. He had been up since about 4:30 that moring and the stress was really getting to him.He went to the ER and the jugde was ticked off that Michael was late. Micheal even had a emotional breakdown in his hospital room. The jugde was told that Michael was in the hospital, but he thought that Michael was just trying to skip court that day. He even said that if Michael didn't show, he would revoke the bail and put Michael in jail. That's why he showed up in his pj's that day. Jermaine said that Michael was embarrassed about his apperence because he worked so hard to craft his image and he also knew what people would say and think. Personally, I think that DS needs to be thrown in jail anf they should lose the key for what he did to Michael. As for Mez and Michael's other lawyers, they are so awesome. Mez even showed up at court one day, even thought his dad had just died. That's waht I call dedication. I'm kinda get that Michael didn't testify because I think it would have eatten him alive to have to fight against all those lies being hurled in his direction. His children shouldn't have even been a factor at all. They didn't need to hear what their father was being accused of and they didn't need to see him so devestated with the lies and untruths. The oandas were jerks and shouldn't have done such stupid things in the first place. I recently watched a docutmentary about the trail and the fans were amazing. I think the it was called Inisde the Michael Jackson Trial. I thought it was really good and quite accurate. It was filmed during the actual trail,so you see things as they really were those days.I didn't like the press at all and when you hear some of the stuff the procestution was saying,it make me want to find and strangle them. I think that after Michael died, they didn't try too hard to get "Dr."Murray for killing him. I think that the trails were the reason that they didn't try for the 1st degree murder charge. They just didn't care that much about Michael or the fact he was innocent, the fact the he was a father, brother, uncle, nephew, and a son, and the fact that he was HUMAN and real emotions and feelings. If you want to read Jermaine's book, it's called You Are Not Alone Michael:Through A Brother's Eyes. I'm reading it right now and it's really good. It gives a great insight into Michael 's life. I can't seem to put it down.

yes, i do remember why Michael came to court in pajama pants. i think i might've cried but i can't remember. Sneddon should be THROWN IN JAIL. not just cuz he's a certified jackass, but because he totally screwed around with the evidence and CHANGED IT! i'm pretty sure that's illegal! the only reason he's not in jail is cuz he was the DA for so long.
